Therefore, it won't be too difficult to choose where to stay However, it's best to know the vibe of each area and set a budget to find the perfect spot that meets your expectations. In this guide, I'll share my tips, my favorite places, and the neighborhoods to consider for accommodations in Tarifa!

When choosing your accommodation in Tarifa, you should prioritize the geographical location. If you're looking for a typically Andalusian experience, the old town is, in my opinion, the best choice. The atmosphere is unique with immediate proximity to everything there is to see. It's also perfect if you enjoy walking without using a car.

The areas around Los Lances beach will be perfect if you seek a beachy and relaxed vibe This is the place I recommend for enjoying activities like kite surfing or just relaxing on the beach and admiring the sunsets... Accommodations here tend to be newer, and you have a better chance of finding a place with a sea view! Of course, you can also stay near Playa Chica, which has the advantage of being close to the port and center

Unsurprisingly, the port of Tarifa is convenient if you plan a crossing to Morocco or if you want a central location without being in the touristy heart. It's a good compromise in terms of price and location, though overall, that's the case pretty much everywhere in the town: sleeping in Tarifa isn't very expensive!

If you're looking for a charming place to stay in Tarifa, the old town is definitely a safe bet. It's here that you'll feel the Andalusian spirit with its bright white walls and small squares animated by terraces. It's far from big tourist complexes, as everything is at a human scale

You are just steps away from everything: the medieval ramparts, the Guzmán el Bueno Castle that proudly overlooks the town, and the iconic Puerta de Jerez, which is one of the best-preserved historical entrances. You can easily spend an entire day strolling through the alleys, stopping in small artisan shops, and tasting some tapas on a sunny terrace

In the heart of the old town, Hospedaje Villanueva is an excellent address, ideal for solo travelers. It offers simple rooms with private bathrooms starting at $37 a night, as well as double rooms starting at $48 a night. You'll be close to shops, the port, and Tarifa beach!

The Eole Tarifa Rooms is perfect for groups of friends and families. This accommodation offers large rooms for 1 to 4 people, carefully decorated. It is located a 10-minute walk from the beach, 100 meters from the port, and close to all shops. Expect to pay around $54 a night for a single room and $65 for a double or triple room.

On the other hand, for those coming to Tarifa to enjoy the sun, waves, and warm sand, staying near the beaches will clearly be the best option. By being close to Playa de Los Lances or Playa Chica, you can literally walk out of your accommodation and be right in the water ️

It's ideal if you want to spend your days sunbathing, kite surfing, and enjoying the peaceful seaside vacation atmosphere. You'll find accommodations in these areas to suit all tastes: from small beachfront hotels to ocean view apartments and some small inns.

The vibe here is relaxed and laid-back If you want to enjoy beach bars for drinks while watching the sunset with the sea as your backdrop from morning until night, I truly recommend opting for a stay in this area! However, book as soon as possible, as the best spots fill up quickly!

Dori Rooms is the perfect place to stay near Playa de Los Lances at the lowest cost. This hostel offers comfortable double rooms starting at $56 a night. You'll also find single rooms if you're traveling solo On-site, the staff is very helpful, and the atmosphere is very peaceful.

If you want to maintain your privacy and independence, I recommend El Estudio Del Poniente, a spacious, well-decorated vacation apartment located near Playa de Los Lances. It features a large equipped kitchen, 2 bedrooms, and can accommodate 4 to 6 people. Expect to pay starting at $133 per night.

Choosing to stay near the Tarifa port is primarily a practical and pleasant choice. It allows you to be just steps from the historic center while still having access to Playa Chica Plus, this area is not just a departure point to Tangier; it's also a lively space filled with the energy of the Strait of Gibraltar!

This is not an area lacking in accommodation; on the contrary. You can really find everything, especially vacation apartments and hotels. From the port, you can walk to the old town, take excursions to see dolphins and whales, and, of course, be close to the departure point if you plan to travel to Morocco by boat ⛵️

The High Flyers Kite House has an ideal location just steps from the port. It's a good compromise for small budgets, accessible from $45 a night Excellent value if you're looking for a place to sleep in Tarifa!

To enjoy a stunning view of the port and the sea, I can only recommend La Residencia Puerto Hotel & Spa, a luxury 4-star establishment! You can enjoy a rooftop pool, spacious rooms and suites, some with sea views, a restaurant, a café bar, and a spa area with treatments and an indoor pool. For a night, expect to pay at least $198 for a double room.

The Benali Guest House is a bright, pleasant, and comfortable guesthouse ideal for those with a slightly higher budget. Accessible from $85 a night, it is located in the old town of Tarifa, just a few steps from the castle while being close to Tarifa port. The beach is 300 meters away.
