Tromsø, located in Troms County beyond the Arctic Circle in northern Norway, is known as one of the best destinations to view the Northern Lights thanks to its prime location. For Norway, aim for the low season. The best time to visit Tromsø for the cheapest rates is between September and November or between March and May, without hesitation.
