Vacation destinations like Athens are full of important historical sites! That's why I strongly recommend choosing a place to stay that is as central as possible. This way, you'll save time on your travels since most cultural sites are located in the historic heart of the city.

Although the cost of living is not very high in Greece, Athens remains the capital of the country. It attracts many tourists throughout the year, so don't delay your bookings. Ideally, even if you're unsure where to sleep in Athens, book at least several weeks in advance to ensure you stay in a place that you really like.

Finally, try to get close to a metro station. The public transport network has been improved and optimized since the arrival of the Olympics in 2004. While most attractions are located in the heart of the city, some are also on the outskirts. Staying near a station will only bring you advantages

The terraces of cafes and restaurants offer a variety of culinary specialties, all in a lively and friendly atmosphere. On weekends, the Monastiraki flea market comes alive and allows you to find beautiful treasures among vintage items, jewelry, and contemporary artworks

Ceramian Athens: By choosing this spot, you will enjoy a great view of Athens and a location close to the Kerameikos metro station, Gazi - Technopoli, and the national theater. The rooms are spacious and bright, with a balcony, starting at €139 per night

Palmyra Beach Hotel: This establishment is located 100 meters from the beach and near restaurants and shopping centers. You'll be in a pleasant setting, with access to the pool. The rooms are comfortable and have a balcony with sea views, starting at €62 per night

Azur Suites: One of the biggest advantages of this establishment is its location, close to the beach, restaurants, and shops. You'll be in a fairly calm area, sleeping in a comfortable, spacious, and modern room. Expect around €83 per night for a room with a city view

Spring and autumn are the best seasons! Both feature pleasant temperatures, and even warm depending on your travel date. Tourist crowds are lower although noticeable, but it's mainly the prices that are advantageous: airfare, accommodation, activities, restaurants...

However, avoid the summer season. While temperatures are warm and pleasant, tourists flock in droves, making your stay potentially unpleasant. Prices rise and you won't enjoy your activities... Especially if you're considering exploring mythical places like the Acropolis, which should be avoided if possible. Additionally, you can enjoy milder temperatures in spring and autumn.
